Technical and Vocational Education and Training

Dearth of skills poses one of the most significant hurdles to the economic growth of Pakistan and its competitiveness in the world market. Lack of suitably qualified and trained personnel is a hurdle in both the implementation and quality of delivered products and services in Pakistan. This phenomenon of lack of skills is perpetuating poverty at household, local, regional and national level. As the unskilled workforce fails to give output therefore the wage level remains low and the industries and firms are thrown in oblivion in the international market because they suffer from low productivity, poor technology adoption and uncompetitive pricing.
