WELDO is a leading not for profit developmental organization rendering valuable services to the development sector in Pakistan since January 1st, 2003. WELDO was founded by two like minded progressive women, to approach the development field in a completely novelle manner that had never been undertaken by any organization in Pakistan before.

WELDO is very keen and interested in working in the field of research and development. The main areas of focus of WELDO for the next five years (2008-2012) will include scientific research and development, trade and environment..

During the next five years WELDO will continue its work on Trade Development with a revitalized focus on "Green Growth Initiatives" that will focus on Sustainable Consumption and Production for industries as well as SMEs. Environmental focus will target research and development, renewable energy, policy implementation regarding forest and forest law etc

Currently WELDO is working on four international projects through active support of EuropeAid's programs and has successfully completed one. For more information on our projects please explore the Projects link on the left panel.

We are always interested in collaborating with like minded organizations from around the world specially in Europe to go into partnership in projects that relate to our priority areas.

One of our main strength lies is our ability to collaborate with organizations from around the world and contributing to the field of development globally. With a vast field of experience in international projects and direct and indirect relationship with more than 200 organizations, universities, institutes and chambers of commerce across Europe and Asia, we can boost of being the only organization in Pakistan to have made such progress in such a short span of time.
